Bathrooms are the single most common place a remodel goes wrong years after it finishes, almost always because of how the shower was waterproofed. These are the questions worth asking any Tampa contractor before signing a contract, with any company, not just CMK.
Why it matters: In Tampa's climate, a bathroom without a continuous waterproofing membrane behind the tile will develop mold and water damage within a few years. Caulk and cement board are not a waterproofing system.

Why it matters: Unlicensed contractors can void your homeowner's insurance and leave you liable for code violations on a bathroom plumbing or electrical project.

Why it matters: Homeowner-pulled permits make you personally liable for code compliance, not the contractor.
Good answer: The contractor pulls every City of Tampa or Hillsborough County permit and schedules every inspection at no extra charge.

Good answer: A real showroom with full tile displays, vanity mockups, and fixture selections where you can touch and approve everything before ordering.
Why it matters: "We stand behind our work" is not a warranty. Waterproofing failures in particular need a contractor willing to come back and make it right.
