How Long a Custom Bathroom Takes, Phase by Phase
Every bathroom is different, and the timeline comes down to how much plumbing work is involved. A cosmetic refresh runs about 2 to 3 weeks start to finish, while a full custom master bath that relocates plumbing and goes to the studs runs 6 to 10 weeks, plus a design phase beforehand. Here's how a typical build unfolds, so you know what's happening and when.
1 · Design & Selections
Your free in-home consultation, exact measurements, 3D renderings, and every tile, vanity, and fixture chosen in person at the Design Studio. Nothing is ordered until you approve it.
2 · Demo & Rough-In
Tear-out, then our own licensed plumbers and electricians move fixtures and lines to the new plan. The more plumbing relocates, the longer this phase runs, and inspections happen here.
3 · Waterproofing & Tile
The Schluter-KERDI membrane goes in, then floor-to-ceiling tile. This is the bulk of the build and the phase that decides whether a bathroom lasts 30 years or leaks in 10.
4 · Fixtures & Walkthrough
Vanity, glass, fixtures, and finishing details go in, then a punch-list walkthrough with your project manager. Every project is backed by our one-year Peace of Mind Warranty.
