Carrollwood is one of Tampa's oldest established suburbs, spread across north-central Hillsborough County just north of the city. Original Carrollwood, with its mature oaks and lakefront homes on Lake Carroll. The deed-restricted, golf-course community of Carrollwood Village, laid out in Village I, II, and III around the Carrollwood Country Club. Established single-family neighborhoods like The Estates at Carrollwood, Country Place, Carrollwood Meadows, and Ridgewood, plus nearby Lake Magdalene and Greater Northdale off Dale Mabry Highway, Ehrlich Road, and Gunn Highway. Most of these 1960s-through-1980s homes still have their original dated kitchens and baths and closed-off layouts, and they are long overdue for a true upgrade.
