Ruskin is a growing, unincorporated community in southeastern Hillsborough County, spread out along Tampa Bay and the Little Manatee River and built on a long agricultural history, the tomato farms and produce fields the town has been known for since it was founded in 1908. Older riverfront and farm homes near the water and along College Avenue. Original 1960s through 1980s homes along the U.S. 41 corridor. Newer master-planned subdivisions from the 1990s and 2000s like Belmont, Cypress Creek, Hawks Point, and River Bend east of U.S. 41. Tampa Bay shoreline homes in Shell Point and Bahia Beach. The older homes are the ones we hear about most. Great lots, great water and river access, and kitchens and baths that never left the decade they were built in.
