Holiday is a mostly postwar community in west Pasco County, and its housing stock shows it. The name is relatively modern: it came from "Holiday Drive" on a 1960s map, adopted by a new Tarpon Springs bank branch, and the surrounding neighborhoods grew up around it. What you'll find today is a mix of practical, working- and middle-class homes: 1960s and 1970s concrete-block ranches in Beacon Square, Aloha Gardens, and Colonial Hills, large 55-plus and manufactured-home communities, and newer 1990s and 2000s single-family homes in Key Vista and Gulf Trace out near the Gulf parks, a few with canal or Gulf access on the far west edge. Holiday also skews older than most of the county, with about one in five residents 65 or over, so aging-in-place updates are a real part of the work here.
